Prepare for the interview before it matters

A real interview is not the best place to discover that you needed more practice.

Confidence Lab gives you an opportunity to practise with an experienced professional before the real opportunity arrives.

Why practise?

Reading interview questions is useful. Answering them out loud with another person is different.

  • Become more comfortable answering questions under pressure
  • Identify weak or unclear answers
  • Improve how you communicate your experience
  • Practise giving specific examples
  • Understand how you present yourself
  • Identify areas to improve before the real interview

Who is it for?

  • Graduates preparing for their first professional interviews
  • Job seekers preparing for an upcoming opportunity
  • Career changers moving into a new industry or field
  • Professionals improving their interview performance

What happens during a session?

Before the session

You tell us about the role and opportunity you are preparing for, and upload anything that helps your expert prepare — your CV, the job description, a reference. Your expert sees this material before the interview. They do not see your identity documents.

Getting matched

We recommend one expert and show you the times they have available. If they are not right, you can ask for one alternative before you pay. Your recommendation is held for twenty-four hours so you have time to decide — after that we will find you a current one, because expert availability changes.

During the session

Your expert conducts a structured practice interview online.

After the session

Your expert completes a structured assessment and gives you feedback. You receive your interview readiness report, setting out your strengths, the areas to develop and what to work on next.

If we cannot find you an expert

Sometimes we cannot recommend anyone — usually because no verified expert with the right experience is available at the times you gave us. When that happens we tell you plainly rather than offering you somebody unsuitable.

Where more availability from you would help, we say so. Where it would not, we say that too, and our team reviews your request. We will never ask you to drop a language requirement or an accessibility need to get a match.

What Confidence Lab does not do

Your information

You control what you tell us. What you share is used to prepare your session and to recommend a relevant expert — not for anything else. Your expert sees the professional material you provide and nothing more.
